Opposites Attract

The sun to my moon,
The order to my chaos,
The ying to my yang,
We were closer than close,
At our worst we were better than most,

It happened in a flash, just way too soon,
We were together on a sun-kissed dais,
Then as the twelfth chime rang,
You melted into dust, in neat little rows,
And I stood there dumb-founded, pondering what I had just lost,

The Ma’at to my Isfet,
The North to my South,
The Sea to my Sky,
I can’t be with you, and it hurts to let you go,
But you’ll always have a piece of, you’ll always have a piece of my heart,

Thought I was all set,
Not a single sound escaped my mouth,
If you asked me to know if I was fine, I’d lie,
I would’ve swam all the oceans just at your say so,
It happened in a flash, like a shot from a poison dart,

The good to my bad,
The calm to my storm,
The law to my anarchy.
